Hyvää ja toivottavasti kehräyksien täyteistä uutta vuotta täältä bloginkin puolelta! :)
Tiesittekös, että alunperin kissakahvilan ajatuksena oli ottaa löytökissoja ja muita kodittomia, joita voisi sitten kahvilasta adoptoida? Asian kanssa päädyttiin kuitenkin siihen, että nykyiset kissat asustavat kahvilassa toistaiseksi pysyvästi. Porukka tulee hyvin toimeen ja heitä ei olisi järkevää erottaa. Albi tuli kissoista viimeisenä hieman muita myöhemmin ja huomasi, kuinka sopeutuminen kesti hieman pidempään. Tästä voi ajatella kuinka iso stressi kissoille olisi jatkuva asuinkumppaneiden muutos, joten parempi että ne pysyvät nyt omalla porukalla.
Purnauskiksen yhteistyökumppani, mistä kautta kaksi kahvilan kissoistakin on tullut, Kisu ry auttaa kodittomia kissoja. Kahvilasta löytyy kansio, mistä löytyy mitä ihanimpia karvakorvia vailla kotia! Sieltä voi mukavasti kahvittelun lomassa katsella, löytyisikö sieltä sopiva uusi perheenjäsen! :D

Did you know, that originaly the cafe's idea was to take homeless cat and that they could be adopted from the cafe? With the matter they ended up to this situation, where the current cats will stay living at the cafe for now. They get along so well and it wouldn't be good to separate them. Albi came as last one, alittle bit later than the other cats and could tell how it took longer for him to feel at home. From this can get an idea about how stressfull it would be for the furry residents to see their roommates change all the time, so better for them to stay like this.
Purnauskis' collaboration partner, where two of the cafe's cats have come, Kisu ry helps homeless cats. There's an album at the cafe, where can find the most loveliest furry friends needing homes! It can be nicely browsed while drinking coffee and see, if there's a fitting family member! :D

Etenkin talvet ovat löytöeläinkodeissa aikuisten kissojen aikaa. Useimmat kissojen adoptoijat kyselevät onko pentuja, mutta todella harvoin talvisaikaan. Aikuisia kissoja harvemmin halutaan, usein syynä on, että ne olisi helpompi sopeuttaa jne. Aikuiset kissat sopeutuvat yleensä ottaen uuteen kotiin ja jopa toisiin kissoihin oikein hyvin! Täytyy muistaa rauhallisuus. On olemassa arkoja tapauksia, mutta niitä ei ihan vilkkaaseen lapsiperheeseen ensimmäisenä ollakaan sysäämässä. Tällaiset kovia kokeneet tai villiintyneet tapaukset totutetaan kotielämään sijaiskodin kautta. Aikuisessa kissassa tietää millainen se on luonteeltaan ja ruumiinrakenteeltaan ja minkälaisia tapoja sillä on, pennusta ei tiedä ja kasvatuksesta huolimatta se oma luonne puskee kyllä esiin.
Usein ajatellaan, että tavallisen näköisillä, hyväkuntoisilla, terveillä ja hoidetuilla eläimillä ei ole löytöeläintarhoilla mitään hätää ja ne tavallaan sivuutetaan. Nämä kissat ovat juuri niitä yksilöitä, jotka pikimmiten tarvitsevat ja etenkin ansaitsevat oman pysyvän kodin!
Especially during the winter animal shelters have mostly adult cats. Most people adopting cats ask if there are any kittens, but at this time of the year, rarely. Grown up cats are not that wanted, usually the reason is, that they are more easily adapted etc. Adult cats usually adapt to new enviroment and even other cats just as well! Have to remember to take your time. There are some really shy cases, but they are not first hand given to active families. These kind of cats, that have been through hard times are given their time to get used to people again at foster homes. With grown up cats can see their personality and how they are with their physique and what kind of habits they got, with kittens can't really tell and even with how they are raised the own personality will push through.
It's commonly thought, that regular looking, good shaped, healthy and well treated animals in shelters are in no hurry and they are kind of ignores. These cats are just the individuals, that need and especially deserve their own forever home!
